Description Barry Andrews CLA 2005-09-06 17:36:03 EDT
I had XMLBuddy installed before installing WPT .7. After installing WPT .7 with
all prereqs, I attempted to open an XML document with the WPT XML Editor. I got
"The document is empty." in the design view and the source view would not open
at all. In my error log I had this message:
"!ENTRY org.eclipse.wst.sse.ui 2 2 2005-09-02 15:01:34.428
!MESSAGE StructuredTextEditor being used without StructuredDocument

!ENTRY org.eclipse.wst.sse.ui 2 2 2005-09-02 15:01:34.528
!MESSAGE Input Name: web.xml

!ENTRY org.eclipse.wst.sse.ui 2 2 2005-09-02 15:01:34.538
!MESSAGE Unexpected IDocument implementation:
org.eclipse.jface.text.Document "

After uninstalling XMLBuddy, the WPT XML Editor works fine.

Yup.

Another yep. Maybe this is a bug in XMLBuddy, I don't know... A lot of people
used that plugin though so it might be worth mentioning in the WTP release notes.

Well, I do know. This is not a bug in XMLBuddy. This is a bug in Text,
specifically Bug 107682.
Comment 4 Barry Andrews CLA 2005-09-08 19:01:32 EDT
No way this is a bug in XMLBuddy. XMLBuddy works fine. It's the WPT XML Editor
that does not work.

If we're going to accept our part of the blame for this, I just have to correct
that Summary :)
